​Between November 16, 2015 and October 31, 2016 the Palm Beach
County Parks and Recreation Department will be conducting a series of prescribed
burns at the Okeeheelee Park South Natural Area located at: 7500 Forest Hill
Boulevard, West Palm Beach. The purpose of these burns is to reduce dead and
dense vegetation and to improve native habitat.
County officials will be
assisted by the Florida Forest Service and or Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
Each prescribed burn will be completed in one day. The burns will occur within
the above dates pending the appropriate weather conditions.
