sunscreen dispenser
Who: Palm Beach County Vice Mayor Hal R.
Valeche, the Richard David Kann Melanoma Foundation, and the Palm Beach County
Parks and Recreation Department
When: Monday, June 13 at 9:00 a.m.
Where: Juno Beach Park Pier, 14775 U.S.
Highway 1, Juno Beach
Why: According to the Richard David Kann Melanoma
Foundation, skin cancer is the most common type of cancer in the United
States.
With the summer months approaching, it is important to take
action to stay safe in the sun. Visitors to the Juno Beach Park Pier will now
have access to sun protection by way of this sunscreen dispenser, free of
charge.
“While we push hard for people to get outdoors and be active,
we want them to be sun safe as well,” said Eric Call, Director of the Palm Beach
County Parks and Recreation Department.
This partnership between the Palm
Beach County Parks and Recreation Department and the Richard David Kann Melanoma
Foundation helps promote sun safety and provide protection against the
potentially deadly effects of overexposure to the sun’s harmful UV rays.
Juno Beach Pier is operated by the Palm Beach County Parks and
Recreation Department in partnership with Loggerhead Marinelife Center. Visit
