What: Caridad Center in partnership with the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department is offering a healthy lifestyle workshop. Caridad’s Prevention, Education, and Treatment Program takes a comprehensive approach to the prevention, education, and treatment of chronic diseases. It delivers family-centered, culturally competent care, and provides early detection, treatment, and health education to residents who have, or are at-risk for chronic diseases.
Participants will learn about causes/consequences of being overweight/obese, body mass index (BMI), the importance of nutrition and physical activity, how to have healthy habits, how to shop in a supermarket and more. There will be healthy snacks and raffles.
When: Saturdays, October 8 – 29, 2016
