​At the Oct. 17, 2023, Board of County Commissioners meeting, the board took the following action on the regular agenda:

Administration – unanimously approved a resolution expressing solidarity with Israel, condemning the Oct. 7, 2023 attacks by Hamas, and expressing deep condolences to the families of those who have lost their lives or been profoundly affected by this devastating assault.

Community Services – approved a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) FY 2022 Continuum of Care Planning Project grant agreement for $247,000, a budget amendment for $13,000 in FY 2024 in the HUD fund and a budget transfer for $2,600.

Facilities Development & Operations – approved a concessionaire lease agreement with Dune Dog Acquisitions Inc. for Carlin Park in Jupiter.

Resilience – approved an application submission to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Climate Resilience Regional Challenge for a $2,000,000 grant.

Received and filed grant applications to conduct flooding and sea level rise vulnerability assessments for the Prosperity Farms Road Bridge reconstruction project, Country Club Acres subdivision, Englewood Estates/Manor subdivision and Australian Avenue drainage improvement projects and Ocean Inlet Park resiliency improvements.
